About
UPSC Recruitment
The
Union Public Service Commission, also known as UPSC, is in charge of holding
numerous competitive exams for hiring new employees into the Indian
government's civil services. Here are some general details regarding UPSC
hiring:
1. Positions: The UPSC recruits candidates for a variety of
Group A and Group B posts as well as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS),
Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS).
2. Eligibility: Depending on the position sought after,
different qualifications are required for UPSC recruitment. Candidates should
typically have received their diploma from a reputable university or institute.
Depending on the post being applied for, there may be an upper age limit.
3. The selection process for UPSC recruiting consists of an
interview, a main examination, and a preliminary examination. Candidates who
pass the preliminary examination, which is made up of objective-type questions,
are invited to the main examination. The written portion of the main exam is
followed by an interview.
4. The application process is online only, and interested
candidates must do so through the UPSC website. Candidates must register by
providing the essential information and uploading the appropriate files. The
exam has a small application cost, which candidates can pay online using net
banking, a credit card, or a debit card.
5. Admit Card: Eligible applicants can download their admit
cards from the official website prior to the preliminary examination. To appear
for the exam, candidates must download the admission card and print it off.
6. Results: Candidates who pass the examination and interview are contacted for document verification and a medical exam. The results of the preliminary examination and main examination are typically posted on the official website.
In addition to holding the civil services examination, the UPSC
also holds exams for numerous other posts, including those for engineering
services, combined medical services, and combined defence services.
